Happy New Year, fellow readers!
Wow, the Holidays have passed on by and we begin the year 2008!
Many of you have received gifts of books and have untold adventures and untapped emotions waiting for you in their pages. For those who enjoy the movie experience, plenty of movies are out there based on best sellers. The Kite Runner, Atonement, Love in the Time of Cholera , I Am Legend , and No Country for Old Men are all current movies based on books currently on the N.Y. Times Paperback Fiction Best Sellers! Do they really think they can capture the essence of the story on film? Oh, occasionally they do, but mostly they fall sadly short of the impact and connection made between the reader and the story, savored at a personal pace. I really do like to go to a movie, but I make a point to read the book first. I just don't like knowing the ending of a book! I want it to unfold...

Along with the freshness of a new year come all those resolutions. There is always an abundance of new self-help books available for you to go to for guidance on food and fitness. Nothing like a fresh start!

So, if you're looking for a scientific approach to satisfaction:
The How of Happiness: A Scientific Approach to Getting the Life You Want by Sonja Lyubomirsky

Or the secret of lasting youth:
You: Staying Young: The Owner's Manual for Extending Your Warranty by Michael F. Roizen, Mehmet C. Oz

Or spiritual guidance:
The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle

Or maybe inspiration:
Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light by Mother Teresa, Brian Kolodiejchuk

Or a general overall plan for health and fitness:
Women's Health Perfect Body Diet: The Ultimate Weight Loss and Workout Plan to Drop Stubborn Pounds and Get Fit for Life by Cassandra Forsythe

There is a book for you!

Enjoy!

Frances
